# Scrnify Pricing

## Free usage
- Lifetime trial: prior lifetime usage is checked before each request; while it is below 100 units, the entire successful request is free
- Request boundary: a request is never split; at 95 prior units, a successful 60-second video is entirely free, and paid metering starts with the next eligible request
- With active billing, first 100 usage units in each billing period: free
- Billing period: Stripe subscription anniversary period, not a calendar month

## Pay-as-you-go graduated pricing
- First 2,000 billable usage units in each billing period: 0.008 EUR each
- Billable usage units 2,001 and above in that billing period: 0.005 EUR each
- Rates are marginal: units above 2,000 do not reprice the first 2,000 units
- No fixed monthly fee
- No monthly minimum

## Usage units
- Gross usage: successful non-cached screenshot = 1 unit
- Gross usage: successful video = requested duration in seconds
- Screenshots and video seconds share one usage pool
- Failures and successful cache hits: 0 units
- Graduated rates apply to billable usage after free-usage rules

These examples start with your first billable unit.

- 500 billable units: 4 EUR
- 2,000 billable units: 16 EUR
- 5,000 billable units: 31 EUR (16 EUR + 15 EUR)
- 10,000 billable units: 56 EUR
- 15,000 billable units: 81 EUR
- 50,000 billable units: 256 EUR
- Exact boundary: 2,001 billable units cost 16.005 EUR
